Why are Vikan Buckets available in so many colours?

Vikan buckets are available in 12 different colours, allowing you to colour code your tools and equipment according to their usage. Believe it or not, Vikan actually introduced this concept back in the 90s, giving their customers the opportunity to designate buckets (cloths and brushes), to different areas of operation. This ensures that businesses can run efficiently without fear of cross contamination.

For example, a green bucket may be used to carry water or garden waste around the exterior of a property. Blue buckets might be used to carrying soapy water used for cleaning vehicles.

You might have noticed this colour coding being used somewhere for interior cleaning too, with blue buckets being used in toilets and red buckets being used in kitchens.
