Description
The bags incorporate a water-soluble seal running the length of the bag and a tie string for securing the bags when full to avoid unwanted spillages. The strip and tie dissolve in the wash cycle (hot or cold) allowing the contents to discharge into the wash. The bag itself is taken out with the wash and may either be recycled or burned for energy recovery in an EFW plant.
These bags remove the need for any additional contact with contaminated laundry once secured in the bag, the user simply places the laundry into the bag and inserts the bag into the wash, eliminating the last stage of physically removing the contaminants from the bag.
In line with the requirements of Safe Handling of Contaminated Laundry, these bags have been carefully designed and manufactured to conform with CFPP01-04, which replaces HSG (95)18. That means you enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing you’ve chosen a product with official approval and added value built in.
Ease of use is key here, with users simply inserting dirty linen into the bag before sealing it with the securing tie. The result is a safe storage and carrying solution: one that offers excellent protection from infectious bodily fluids as well as airborne bacteria.
These bags feature a special soluble strip build into them, which dissolves in wash cycles at temperatures of around 20 degrees Celsius. Once the strip has dissolved, the sack effectively breaks open to allow its contents to be thoroughly cleaned. At the end of the wash cycle, users simply throw away any residual laundry sack: it’s a simple, safe and quick system.
